The D-CBurner is used specially in calcination processes (a very common use is in clinker pre-calciners – cement kilns). The separation of primary air into two channels (external air – axial, and tangential air – swirl) provides a greater flexibility to the burner, allowing its adjustments to the process requirements. The use of D-CBurners is quite common for the abatement or reduction of NOx emissions. In these cases, all of its dimensioning (primary air injection nozzle, quantities of burners to be used, their positioning in the calciner, etc) is done by computational simulations ( Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis – CFD), maximizing the results and assuring that the predicted goal (for example, NOx reduction) is fully achieved.
D-CBurner
D-CBurner is a high performance and highly flexible burner. The use of advanced software of computational simulations (CFD – Computational Fluid Dynamics) to develop these burners allows the formation of high efficiency flames (specially referring to its shape and length and to the refractory lining durability).
The main characteristics of the D-CBurners are:
