Essential for the production processes in your plant, the Dynamis D-Flame burner will deliver you good results. Know more about the differentials!
Burners are an essential part of any industrial kiln. It is for them that the combustion process is carried out to generate energy for the production in the material bed.
But, there are several types of fuels that can be great sources of energy for their production, but that require different operating and investment costs, which if there is a choice with technical-commercial analysis in your choice may end up reducing costs with the kiln. However, to use them, you will need a burner that complies with all the technical characteristics necessary for the application of the selected fuel to be applied in the best way that produces all the planned technical and economic benefits
Undoubtedly the best technology in rotary kiln burners to be used is that of Dynamis known as D-Flame, which has several technical differentials from the others. But what are these differentials? Continue reading today’s post and check it out!
What is the Dynamis D-Flame burner?
Developed from the concept of maximizing the combustion, combining efficiently the available air with the fuel, concept of entrainment of the secondary air of the kiln penetrating into the flame, and combustion with the available fuel with high efficiency, and using the most modern computer simulations, with the use of countless hours in CFD simulations, from the theoretical and practical knowledge and know-how of a technical team of engineers with extensive technical and practical experience, it could achieve at the renowned D-Flame burner, with exhaustive field tests that required several sensors and measurements in field to confirm the data and results obtained during their engineering development and with the CFD computational models that enabled the launch of this technology that represents the best operational and technical efficiency, as well as savings for your process.
With that, D-Flame introduces unique characteristics in relation to the other burners, getting several benefits.
Due to the technology involved in the D-Flame, it is possible to increase the combustion efficiency, providing a reduction in the length of the flame and an increase in its intensity, with direct impacts on the improvement of thermal transfer in to the material bed, which takes into a significant improvement in the quality of your product and additional gains such as improvement in the coating of the kiln, and other advantages, in addition to being able to use different types of fuels, which can be used solids, liquids or gases or even industrial residues, such as liquids, pastes or solids.
In addition, another great advantage of D-Flame is its flexibility and capacity for the operation. Developed taylor-made for the industry 4.0, allowing the operator to have much more control of the processes. It is possible to execute adjustments in real time without leaving your operation control room, with a simple command it is possible to make instant modifications or make a modification with a pre-programmed configuration for a certain type of flour, or type of fuel, for example, always checking and monitoring the properties of your kiln.
But what are the main features of D-Flame burners?
- Improved in product quality;
- Use of alternative fuels;
- Easy operation;
- High flexibility of operation;
- High injection and high pressure;
- High flame momentum;
- Mechanical designed for heavy duty application of thermal and abrasiveness processes;
- High turbulence rates;
- pecific customization for your process;
- Prepared for industry 4.0;
- Low price.
Considering this, the D-Flame can be used in the most diverse sectors such as cement, lime, mining, paper and cellulose, among others.
Success cases using Dynamis D-Flame technology
One of several success cases, it´s an example of a successful case with this solid replacement, in the kiln of the Degerhamn plant, in Sweden, with a fuel substitution rate of approximately 40%, using RDF and other organic alternative fuel, instead of coal.
Another case of extreme success is the newest Dynamis D-Flame kiln burner at the Clinchfield cement plant, in the United States of America, with a 100% fuel substitution rate, using biomass.
Industry 4.0
As an innovation for Industry 4.0, all butterfly valves in the burner adjustment air manifold system can be supplied with an electric motor and can be adjusted remotely by the control room operator.
In a simple way, the operator enters the desired pressure setpoint and a PID control loop adjusts the velocity of the external air blower or modulates the position of the tangential and internal air valves, for pre-established configurations of production levels, clinker quality, fuel characteristics, etc. Fine adjustments can also be made remotely by the operator, without leaving the control room.
Dynamis has already developed several projects and successful cases of optimization of solid waste injection, automation, production increase and improvement of quality of product, with D-Flame technology, thanks to the technological innovation applied in its development for the obtaining the best combustion.
